Baker, Archie James. "Arch", age 93, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2012. Greatly loved father and grandfather, he is survived by his 3 sons, Norm, Jim and Doug, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Arch was born in Kansas City, KS but relocated to Anaheim, CA early on. He and his wife Kay resided in Fullerton and were married for 66 years, until her passing in 2007. Arch was a commissioned officer in the US Navy serving in both active and reserve military duty, and retired as a Lieutenant Commander, after serving his Country for 22 years. Arch was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Fullerton and served in many offices of the church. He loved working with his wife on the church's various youth outreach programs and telling others about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For those who may want to donate, The Arch and Kay Baker Memorial Fund has been set up at the Wilshire Avenue Community Church to continue to support the youth outreach programs. Arch will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial service to honor Arch on Saturday, May 5th at 5:00 PM at the Wilshire Avenue Community Church, 212 E. Wilshire Avenue in Fullerton.
