Marguerite B. Houston, a longtime resident of Southwest Portland, died of lung cancer Thursday in the Corvallis home of her daughter. She was 69.
A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Neighborhood House Senior Center. Private burial will be in River View Cemetery.
She was born May 23, 1924, in Bethlehem, Pa. Her maiden name was Baldwin. She received her early schooling in Harwichport, Mass., and earned a degree in physical therapy from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Houston had lived in the Portland area for the past 25 years. She had worked for Emanuel Hospital & Medical Center and the Visiting Nurse Association until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughters, Holly Dubrasich of Corvallis and Honey O'Connor and Heather, both of Portland; mother, Carol M. Baldwin of Harwichport, Mass.; sister, Priscilla Crowell of South Dennis, Mass.; brother, James F. Baldwin of Newark, Del.; former husband, Howard Houston of Stevenson, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
