Mrs. W. E. Allard Dies Today at 64
Mrs. William E. Allard, 64, of 318 Central Ave. N. Crookston, a local resident for the past 55 years, died this morning at a local hosipal.
She was born July 23, 1892 in Perth, Ontario, Canada and at the age of nine came with her family to Crookston, where she lived for the past 55 years. She graduated from Central High School here and taught school at Erskine and Angus. The former Ellen Alice Balfour was married April 14, 1915 in Crookstn. Mrs. Allard had been in poor health the past few years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert of Seattle, Washington, and Kenneth of Concord, California; three grandchildren; a brother, Arnold Balfour of Minneapolis and three sisters, Mrs. M. J. Keeley, Mrs. Bert Van Gordon and Miss Belle Balfour, all of Crookston. Her husband died July 1947.
Funeral arrangements, which are incomplete pending word of her two sons, are being handled by Houske Funeral Home.
