Pauline Bell SAUER, 90, of San Luis Obispo died Tuesday, March 15, 1988, in a San Luis Obispo convalescent hospital.
Memorial services will be at 3 pm Saturday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in San Luis Obispo. The Rev. George Ridgeway will officiate. Private entombment has taken place at the Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mrs. SAUER was born December 10, 1897, in Lorch, Germany. She lived there until she was 5, before coming to the U.S. In 1902 her family took up residence in Republic, Washington, where she was raised and educated. She had lived in San Luis obispo since 1925.
She attended the university of Washington in Seattle and graduated from San Jose State University in 1920. She was a school teacher and last taught in Lemoore and Cambria. Her hobbies were fishing and gardening. She was a
member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Monday Club, the United Volunteer Services, the County Historical Society and she belonged to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
She married Arthur A. SAUER on July 14, 1925, in San Jose. He was a grocer and baker and founded the A. Sauer Company in San Luis Obispo. He died in 1972.
