Therese R. (Dusseault) Ballard, 85, of 18 Laurier St. died yesterday in Knollwood Nursing Home.

Mrs. Ballard was a secretary for The Worcester public school system for many years, retiring in 1951.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church.

Mrs. Ballard served with the Women's Army Corps during World War II in northern Africa.

She leaves a brother, Marshall T. Dusseault of Shrewsbury; a sister, Christina Reed of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband Harry Holmes Ballard died in 1982.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Esdras and Lumina (Girard) Dusseault, and had lived here all her life.

The funeral will be held tomorrow from Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois St. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum.

There are no calling hours.

The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to Holy Name of Jesus Church Elevator Fund, 53 Illinois St., Worcester, 01603
