LARRY CARL BANKS, 66, the oldest son of the late Sarah Banks-Rivers and Robert Banks, died on Friday, October 3, 2014 at his residence. He was an alumnus of Melrose High School, U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the Rose of Sharon 111 Masonic Lodge. Family Hour will be held on Sunday, October 12, from 3-4 p.m. at Harrison’s Memorial Chapel, 3320 Millbranch Rd. Visitation: Monday, October 13, from 10-10:55 a.m. at Norris Ave. Missionary Baptist Church, 1437 Norris Rd. with Funeral Ceremony at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at 1:45 p.m., West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd. He leaves to cherish his life and legacy, his wife, Burnell Rodgers Banks; his children, Crystal Lynn Bell, Marcus (Drell) Bell, Eric Moten, Sherita (Derek) Flake and Lisa Ann Randolph; two stepchildren, Derrick Lee and Bryant McDonald; his siblings, Robert Banks, Brenda Banks, Donald (Janice) Banks, Sheron (Melvin) Fallis, Phyllis (Capers) Lenny, Acqua (Willie) Woods, Cedric (Mary) Banks, and Lakeisha (Chad) Rooks, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
