Mrs. Opal Banks, age 83, passed away Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born March 28th, 1924 in Newfound, Kentucky to Allen & Lucy Allen Bishop. She was a nurse aide & a member of the Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Turpin & husband Gary of Winchester, Kentucky, these grandchildren: Allen Banks of Stanton, Aaron Snider of Winchester, Daniel Cornelison of Richmond, & Robert Turpin of Sierville, Tennessee, the following great grandchildren: Luke Banks, Jakob Baxter Banks, Allee Banks, Austin DeBord, Chase Snider, & Katie Snider, and one brother: Richard Bishop of Springfield, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Allen & Lucy Bishop, her husband: Henry B. Banks, & these brothers & sisters: Hillie Bishop, Willie Bishop, Laura Bishop, Monroe Bishop, Callie Bishop Allen, & Charles Bishop.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Opal Banks will be Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lester Randolph will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.
