Carole Oresa Baquet (1945 - 2013)
Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carole Oresa Baquet, at age 67. She was born in 1945 in Portland, Ore., to Edwin and Oresa Baquet, and passed away in her home on March 14, 2013, as she wished, with the comfort of her family by her side.
She worked for the County of Ventura Mental Health Department for 35 years and retired in 2002. Carole was a dedicated worker and nicknamed "Team Angel" because she was a kind-hearted, gentle soul who would do anything for anyone.
Carole loved family gatherings, especially Christmas, and was absolutely thrilled to become a grandmother for the first time in 2011. She loved movies and was an avid rubberstamper, working as a Stampin' Up demonstrator for many years with several of her devoted customers becoming dear friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, April and Dexter Haney; son and daughter in law, Brian and Gretchen Hall; grandson, Aaron; sister, Kelly Kalcheim; brother, Kevin Baquet; niece, Tomica Baquet; and nephew, Nathan Donnelly. She will be dearly missed and loved by all.
Family members wish to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at Roze Room Hospice of Ventura and County of Ventura Medical Center for being so kind, compassionate and caring.
A memorial for Carole will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at The Perez Family Funeral Home located 1347 Del Norte Road, in Camarillo.
