Coy Omer Baquet, 80, died September 21, 1976 in the Veterans Hospital in Tuscon Arizona.  He was born September 8, 1896 in Unionville Missouri, a son of the late George and Martha McCollom Baquet.  On September, 20, 1924  he married Miss Edna May Kennedy, who survives at the home.  Other survivors include 2 sons, Calvin Dwight and Clyde Russell Baquet, both of Tuscon and Mrs. Wanda Thompson of California Missouri; 1 brother: Glen Baquet of Versailles; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son Paul C. Baquet who was killed in World War II and 1 sister, Mrs. Carl (Poe) Wilson.  He was a veteran of World War I and a retired central Missouri farmer. Member of the High Point Baptist Church and was a deacon in Emanuel Baptist Church in Tuscon, where he has lived since 1960.
   Funeral services September 26 at Kidwell Garber Funeral Home with the Rev. R.C. Reichert officiating. Steve Henry sang, organ by Mrs. Luther Campbell. Nephews were Pallbearers. Interment in the Versailles cemetery.
