Jean Barbour Anderson, 87, Indianapolis, died Monday in St. Vincent Hospital. She was a retired teacher. She had taught elementary school in Lost Creek and Burnett, both near Terre Haute. She was a board member of the YWCA, Community Chest organization and Sigma Gamma Rho, all at Terre Haute. She was a graduate of Indiana Normal College, now Indiana State University. She was the widow of Dr. Lewis H. Anderson. Survivors: daughter, J. Jean Curry; son, Lewis H. Anderson II; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
