Francis George Baring, 2nd Earl of Northbrook was born at Florence, Italy.
He was the son of Thomas George Baring, 1st Earl of Northbrook and Elizabeth Harriett Sturt.
He married, firstly, Ada Ethel Sophie Davidson, daughter of Colonel Cuthbert Davidson, on 26 June 1894.
He married, secondly, Florence Anita Eyre Coote, daughter of Eyre Coote and Jessie Mary Worrall, on 10 June 1899 at St. Saviour's Church, Walton Street, Chelsea, Middlesex, England.
He died age 78 years.
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1870 in the service of the Rifle Brigade. He was Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1873 and 1876, his father. He gained the rank of officer in 1876 in the service of the Grenadier Guards
He was buried on 16 April 1929.
