Gertrude Bell "Trudy" Barker, 87 year old Vinita resident, passed away December 20, 2016.

Trudy was born in Welch, OK on April 10, 1929 to Hubert and Elizabeth (Morgan) Williamson.

On September 3, 1947 she was united in marriage to Harvey Dale Barker. When their sons were still very young they moved to California where they established their careers and raised their children. Trudy worked for Pacific Bell Telephone Company. She started out as an operator and worked up to Director of Engineering. Upon retirement they moved back to Oklahoma and spent their retirement enjoying their family and life on Grand Lake. They were active members of Otterbein Methodist Church where Trudy sang in the choir and was church treasurer for 20 years. Trudy in her more active years enjoyed bowling, fishing, and dancing. She had a passion for reading her bible as well as poetry. She was a wonderful cook, a great mother and grandmother, a beloved friend, and an inspiration to many.

Survivors include her sons: Dale Barker of Vinita, Kenneth Barker and wife Beverly of Franktown, CO, and Stephen Barker of Vinita, one granddaughter: Colene Morbee and husband Kevin, great grandchildren: Bryant and Ambur Morbee all of Highlands Ranch, CO, and one brother: Charles Williamson and wife Maggie of Miami, OK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Anna Moreland, and brothers: Roy Williamson, Robin Williamson, Clarence Williamson, Bill Williamson, Ernest Williamson, and Gordon Williamson.

Visitation will be from (time), Monday, December 26, 2016 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the Otterbein Methodist Church with Pastor Ben Pascoe officiating. Interment will follow at Walker Cemetery in Welch, OK. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
