Mrs. Anderson was born in Jackson, Tenn. on November 17, 1914 to the late A.E. Barksdale and Velma Grant Barksdale.
A longtime resident of Jackson, MS., living here for more than 65 years, Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and playing bridge. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson for more than 50 years and enjoyed being a member of the sewing circle at the church. She was also a member of the Town Club.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband of 59 years, Charles W. Anderson, Jr. who died in 1998.
Survivors include her son Charles W. Anderson, III and his wife Sheron of Jackson, three grandchildren, Peggy Eliece Curtis of Clinton, Charles Wesley Anderson, IV of Vicksburg, and Faith Allison Tucker of Madison and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1390 N. State St.; Jackson, MS 39202.
