Mary Barnes, age 68 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Graveside Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 16th at Crestview Memory Gardens with Brother Forrest Creekmore officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time to leave for the cemetery.
Mrs. Barnes was born October 13, 1945 in Morton, MS, daughter of the late William Travis Kern and Lizzie Mae Nobles Kern.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Barnes and grandson, T. J. Lassiter.
She is survived by daughter, Regina Tomlinson Carpenter of Nunnelly; step-daughters, Frankie Tucker (Dwayne) of Castalian Springs, Robbin Adcock (Joe), Kim Orr (Ron) and Paula Stafford all of Gallatin; step-son, Tommy Isenberg (Debbie) of Hendersonville; brothers, Jerry Kern of Goodlettsville and Henry Kern of Georgia; sisters, Connie Lassiter (Chuck) of Nunnelly and Nellie Ross (Randy) of Bald Knob, AR and thirteen grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
