Mrs. Gladys A. Barnum, 77, Newington, wife of Llewellyn Barnum, died at her home Monday. Born in Winsted she lived in West Hartford before moving to Newington 35 years ago. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Harold Barnum and Floyd Barnum, both of Newington; a daughter, Mrs. Charles McLeod of Littleton, Mass.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, Newington, Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial services will be at Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. (Hartford Courant, Tuesday, September 19, 1967)
