Married Al Antecki 8/20/1955

Loving wife and mother passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Thomas and Victoria (Chowaniec) Baron, Edwina was born March 13, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. She married Al Antecki, her loving husband of nearly 60 years, on August 20, 1955. He survives her. Edwina was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Surviving besides her husband Al are two daughters and their spouses, Anita and Steve Gadd, Victoria and Ernie Mehl; one brother, Norbert Baron; a brother-in-law, Ted Pachinski; several nieces and nephews. Edwina was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Antecki, two sisters, Millie Poulton and Dolores Pachinski, and by a nephew, Kenneth Poulton.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Saginaw County Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
