Born in Paterson, N.J., Mrs. Applegate lived in Lockwood, N.Y., for 14 years, coming from Pompton Lakes, where she lived for 30 years.
She had been employed as a Claim Representative for Fish Insurance Agency in Wayne, N.J., and a member of the Red Hats, Italian Club in Sayre, Pa., Senior Citizens in Wayerly, N.Y., and was a volunteer for the Robert Packer Medical Center, Sayre, Pa.
Surviving are one son, John Rosenstein (and wife, Angela) of Pompton Lakes; three daughters, Lois Sannik (and husband, Daniel) of Pompton Lakes, Alberta Keeney (and husband, Ron) of Haskell and Elizabeth Rosenstein of Wharton, N.J.; two brothers, Joseph Barra of Toms River, N.J., and Richard Barra of Decatur, Ill.; one sister, Mabel King of West Milford, N.J.; seven grandchildren: Matthew, Jaclyn, Stephen, Dana, Gregory, Shannon and Abigail; and one great-grandson, Dylan.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Hans B. Rosenstein in 1991.
Funeral Services will be hend on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, N.J. Interment Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery.
