MACON - Florence Ezell Bartlett, 82, passed away on Thursday in a local hospital.

Mrs. Bartlett, wife of the late James (Jim) Norman Bartlett, was born in Macon the daughter of the late George E. and Eunice Johnson Ezell. She lived in Macon most of her life and was a graduate of Burke Elementary and A. L. Miller High School. Mrs. Bartlett was administrative assistant with the Bibb County Tax Assessors and Bibb County Tag Office retiring after more than thirty years service. She was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church where she was also a member of the J. C. Johnson Sunday School Class and the Mary Waldron WMU Group.

A beautiful and "classy" lady, her passion was cooking and caring for others. She spent many hours in the kitchen at Mabel White. Mrs. Bartlett was a member of Grantwood Sewing Club and Federated Garden Club.

She is survived by her family whom she adored, two daughters, Sherry B. Benefield (Russell) and Bambi B. Wolff (Mike), all of Macon; three grandchildren, Philip Odum II of Macon, Josh Whitley (Stacie) of Eastman and Amber Whitley of Macon; two great grandchildren, Brannen and Bryson Odum of Macon.
