Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Bartlett, of 223 Ayers Road, who died in a local hospital at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, after a brief illness, will be held in the chapel of Hart's mortuary at 3 p.m. today. The Rev. J. W. Ballard will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Pallbearers are to be J. H. Brown, E. D. Etheridge, W. A. Crawford, H. E. Donaldson, B. G. Donaldson and Walter S. Herrin. Mrs. Bartlett, the former Miss May Pitts, was born in Jasper county, Ga., the daughter of Charles Nathaniel Pitts and Mrs. Julia Ann Bowden Pitts, and had lived in Macon since childhood. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Surviving are her husband; four sons, Pvt. Joseph W. Bartlett, Boca Raton, Fla.; Pvt. Charles E. Bartlett, Camp Edwards, Mass.; Everett Lee and Delmas Eugene Bartlett, of Macon; three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Dennis, Mrs. T. E. Anderson and Miss Alice Gertrude Bartlett, of Macon; a sister, Mrs. C. A. Thomas, Jacksonville; a brother, Rev. C. J. Pitts, Jacksonville, five grandchildren.
