He served in the Rev. War in Capt. Simon Marston's Company, Lt. Col. Joseph Senter's Regiment. He and Maria settled in Center Harbor and were the parents of at least six children. Abiel descends from Richard Bartlett, the immigrant, of Newbury, MA.
