Rebecca Allison, an aged and respected citizen of Cumberland, departed this life on the 14th of December, 1893. She had ben sick but a short time with grip, and pneumonia set it. She was born in Lewis County, Virginia, February 5, 1824, and was married to John Allison November 18, 1862. She had been a member of the Presbyterian church for over 50 years. The funeral took place from her late resident on Saturday, at 11 o'clock. she was followd to her last resting place by a large concourse of friends.
