RECENT DEATHS.
Aiken.
Mrs. Charles B. Aiken died at her
home on Pearl street, June 6, after
a long and painful illness. Sarah
Anne Bartlett. daughter of John and
Sophronia Bartlett was born in
Sunapee, N. H., August 4, 1861. She
made her home there until after her
marriage, Oct. 19, 1881 to Charles
B. Aiken. They lived in Barnet for
many years, Mr. Aiken being in the
meat business there. For the last
twelve years they have lived in St.
Johnsbury. Her husband and three
children survive her, Arthur R. of
St. Johnsbury, (Maude) Mrs. Ernest
Keenan of Ryegate and (Bertha)
Mrs. Carl Hovey of St. Johnsbury.
Her mother, Mrs. Sophronia
Bartlett is also living. Funeral
services were held at the home Tuesday
afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. F. B.
Richards officiating. Interment was
in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Those
from out of town to attend the
funeral were: Fred L. Bartlett of
Bradford, N. H., John H. Bartlett of
Portsmouth, N. H., Mott L. Bartlett
of Sunapee, N. H., Miss Lois
Pillsbury of Sunapee, M. Miltimore
Conant of Wolcott, and relatives and
friends from Barnet.
