Anna M. (Gleason) Barton, 85, of 21 Flagler Dr., died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after an illness.

Her husband, George F. Barton, died in 1973. She leaves four sons, Bruce D. Barton and his wife Holly of Holden, James H. Barton and his wife Deborah of Feeding Hills, Robert D. Barton and his wife Wendy of Holden and William S. Barton and his wife Michelle of North Brookfield; two daughters, Catherine A. Lucht and her husband David of Holden and Irene M. Bonos and her husband James of Auburn; her twin sister, Catherine Melesky of Northbridge; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. A brother, David Gleason, and a sister, Mildred Butt, predeceased her.

Mrs. Barton was born in Holden, daughter of James and Anna (McCullum) Gleason, and was a lifelong resident of Holden. She was a graduate of Holden High School and was baptized, confirmed and attended St. Mary's Church.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 20th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mrs. Barton will be held on Monday, May 21st, from the funeral home with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1326 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522.
