Mrs. W. H. Bates died at her home in Harvard Monday afternoon, November 18. She was 88 years of age and had been confined to her bed the greater part of the time since she fell and injured her hip several months ago. Her husband, Mr. Wm. H. Bates, died June 11, 1945. Mrs. Bates is survived by her son, Ernest Bates of Ellensburg, Washington; her son, Frank Bates, and her daughter, Miss Oral Bates, of Harvard and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral services are to be held in Harvard Friday afternoon and burial will be made in the Harvard cemetery.
