NILES — Andrew Bathory Sr., 76, of 615 Pratt St., died at 9:53 a.m. Monday at South Side Hospital.

Born Jan. 13, 1896 in Hungary, he was a son of Steve and Elizabeth Bathory and came directly to Lorain, O., in 1912 moving to Niles in 1918.

He. retired from U.S. Steel Youngstown Works in 1960. He was a member of the Senior Citizens 1330 and the Niles Senior Citizens.

His first wife, the former Mary Balog, to whom he was married in 1918, died in 1966.

Surviving arc his wife, the former Katherine Toth, to whom he was married July 26, 1969; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Terlizzi, of Austintown and Mrs. Ethel Mihalick, of Suitland, Md.; one son, Andrew Jr., of Hubbard; three stepchildren, Michael Waldo, of Niles, Harry Waldo, of Warren and Mrs. Betty Gadd, of Cortland; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Park Cemetery Chapel.Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. this evening and 2 to4 p.m. and7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Szabo & Sons Fifth Ave. Chapel, Youngstown.
