She was born on Sept. 16, 1918 in McGaheysville and was a daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Henshaw Batman.
Mrs. Ageon was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of the Muhlenberger Lutheran Church, which she joined in 1948. She had previously worked for Jo Neys, Taliaferro Jewelry and Sleepwear in Harrisonburg and Elkton.
On Sept. 12, 1936, she married Homer C. Ageon Sr., who died in 1979.
She is survived by a son, Homer C. Ageon Jr. of Harrisonburg, with whom she had previously resided; a brother, Earl "Jack" Batman of Shenandoah; a sister Betty Gray of Luray; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted on Friday, Oct. 19, at the Muhlenberg Lutheran Church by Pastor David P. Nelson.
Burial was in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
