Virginia Batten Adams of Wilmington, NC died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Liberty Commons. She was born in Rice Creek, MI on December 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Vernon Hope Batten and Velda Irene Foster Batten. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James H. Adams, Sr. Mrs. Adams has been a resident of Wilmington, NC since 1946. Surviving are her son, James H. Adams, Jr. of Leland, NC; her daughter, Elizabeth Marlene Adams of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter, Nowell Adams Campos; and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery.
