ANDERSON

Ethel Maurine Anderson, daughter of Dan and Margaret Batten, was born in What Cheer, Iowa. She passed away at her home in Chariton, Friday, August 17, 1984, following a long illness.

As a young girl she moved to Lucas, Iowa, and later to Chariton, where she attended school and graduated. For several years she was employed by Dr. Ed Stanton as a dental assistant.

In 1939 she married Dr. R. E. Anderson in Chariton and they continued to make their home here. She was a member of the P.E.O. and the St. Andrews Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a twin sister, Eloise Belknap on June 17, 1984.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. R. E. Anderson, and three nieces and three nephews.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 1984, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Father Richard Lintner conducted the services. Pall bearers were A. V. Hass, Curt Yocom, Harold Stange, Wm. Gottner, Wayne Swanson, Wiley Curtis and Harold Trumbull. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
