Victor served as a Corporal, U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was serving, at the time of his passing, on the U.S.S. Nashville (CL-43).
He resided in Colorado prior to the the war.
Victor was "Killed In Action" when the Nashville, while shelling Vila Airfield on Kolombangara, suffered a powder charge explosion in one of the forward turrets, killing 18 and injuring 17.
He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Victor was buried at sea.

Victor also has a "Cenotaph" in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Powell, Wyoming.
