Mrs. Barbara Baumgardner Aycock, 85, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her home.
Born in Asheville, NC, Mrs. Aycock was a daughter of the late Charles Holmes Baumgardner and the late Eva Lillian Alexander Baumgardner. She was at one time the head nurse of the Pediatric Ward at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and was also a nurse at Bowater Carolina. She was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church and of the Women’s Society. She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Aycock, Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Daniel “Dan” Oliver Aycock, Sr.; her two sons, “Her children will rise up and call her blessed”; six grandchildren; her brother, and her two sisters.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
