BASTILLA, Kathleen D. Age 49, of E. Warren St., Elmira, NY, went home to join the rest of God's angels on Sunday, June 28, 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Bastilla; daughters and son, Heather (Zechariah) Hancock of Lowman, NY, Amber Bastilla and Brandon Bastilla both of Elmira, NY; grandchildren Corynn and Carley Hancock; parents, Donald and June Baxter of Elmira Heights, NY; brothers and sisters, Don Baxter of Elmira Heights, NY, Sharon (Richard) Ross of Troy, PA, Kim (Bob) Rousseau of Elmira, NY, Roger (Sandy) Wood of Brockport, NY; in-laws, Edward Sr. and Joyce Bastilla of Elmira Heights, NY; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many co-workers, neighbor and friends.
Kathy was active with her husband in many youth programs in Elmira. She was an employee of Thomas and Betts in Horseheads. She was a devoted wife, caring mother, grandmother and a special friend to many people. Kathy's love of life was delightfully contagious. "Live for Today, Plan for Tomorrow, Party Tonight."
Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, on Wed., July 1, 2009, from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. Her service will take place at the funeral home on Thurs., July 2, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Michael Spencer officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads.
