Ora O. (Bayes) Baggs, 77, of Toccoa, Georgia, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Stephens County Hospital, Georgia. She was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Johnson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Dord Newton and Samantha Manilla (Baldwin) Bayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Baggs Jr. on July 17, 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Dianna Baggs of Toccoa, Georgia, Charlene Sue (Stephen) McDonald of Lewis Center; two grandsons, Stephen and Timothy McDonald.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at the PORTER FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling. The Rev. Terry Russell will be officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Era. The family will receive friends at noon until time of service on Wednesday.
