Mrs. Trunie Baylor Abernathy died Friday afternoon, after a protracted illness. She was a daughter of Dr. Baylor of Navasota, Texas and was 35 years of age. She was married to Mr. Abernathy in 1890 and leaves one child, a little son of about six years of age. Mrs. Abernathy spent much of last winter with her parents in Texas and it was thought when she returned in the Spring that her health was much improved, but a relapse came and ended her life.

Mrs. Abernathy was a most estimable christian woman and her lovable character and noble trials caused her to be universally esteemed. She was a member of the Ninth Street Presbyterian Church and the funeral services were conducted by her pastor Saturday afternoon, and interment followed in the Cemetery.
