Adela G. Bazan, 93, a life time resident of San Diego, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009. She was a member of St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church, Catholic Daughter, Altar & Rosary Society and San Diego Ladies Auxiliary Post #8931. She was well known for her baking, especially baking, pan de polvo. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt that will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Bazan, Sr.; three sisters, and two brothers. Adela is survived by her son, Rodolfo H. (Diana) Bazan of San Diego, Texas; four daughter, Dora B. (Alfred) Pagan of Corps Christi, Texas; Gloria B. (Oscar) Chapa of Corpus Christi, Texas; Diana B. (Jack) Everett of San Diego, Texas; Graciela B. (Juan) Benavides of San Diego, Texas; one brother, Pedro Gonzales; three sisters, Aminta G. Soliz, Eloisa G. Morin, Elma G. Martinez; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 31 2009 at 10:00AM at St Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Interment will follow La Mota Cemetery in La Mota, Texas.
