OKEMAH - Clarence Maxey BEAR was born February 20, 1922, in Tuskegee. He died November 4, 2002, in Okemah.
Funeral services were held November 7 at Nuyaka Indian Baptist Church where he was a member. Officiating were Rev. George Doyle and Rev. Allison Phillips. Interment was at Montesoma Cemetery.
He worked for T.H. Rogers Lumber Company in Okmulgee.
He enjoyed fishing, working on old cars, singing Muscogee songs and eating fried chicken.
He was the son of Lucinda BEAR, who preceded him death. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Jimmy JONES and J. R. JONES, and one sister, Polly WOLFE.
He was survived by six nieces, Teresa TUCKER, Della PEEPER, Margie CHILDRESS, Maxine STIDHAM, Cella SEXTON, and Cynthia DAN.
