HARTFORD CITY--Rheba J. Aldridge, 81, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
She was born July 20, 1930 in Marion, the daughter of Carl T. and Anna F. (Spann) Beard. She married Noble R. Aldridge on March 26, 1955 in Lafayette. His death occurred September 7, 2000.
Rheba graduated from George Washington High School in 1949 and from the General Hospital School of Nursing (now Wishard Hospital), both in Indianapolis. She worked as a registered nurse for 50 years, retiring in 1996 from the V.A. Hospital, Marion.
Rheba was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Carl, Robert, and Richard Beard; and a sister, Ruth Kimes.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2012 and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
