Albert Beard, 64, of 1109 S. State St., died yesterday at State University Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn and was employed as a chef at Syracuse University. He resided in Syracuse six years. Surviving is a brother, William Beard, of Huntington, L.I. Services will be 3 p.m. tomorrow at DeWitt Funeral Home, 749 W. Onondaga St., with Lt. Floyd Wood of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will be Monday in Carley Mills Cemetery, Carley Mills. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
