MADISON Sallie Beasley Alderman, 88, died Friday, May 20, 2016, at Countryside Manor.The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2016, at Ellisboro Baptist Church, with Reverend Michael Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. Alderman was born April 14, 1928, in Caroline County, VA, to the late John Butler Beasley and Ossie Chinault Beasley. She was a homemaker and a member of Ellisboro Baptist Church, where she served as the church treasurer for over 30 years, as well as a Sunday school secretary and teacher. She was also a member of the WMU and the church choir. Sallie was the last survivor of seventeen children.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer June Alderman, nine brothers and seven sisters.Survivors include her children, Tommy Alderman (Cynthia) of Madison, John Alderman (Ann) of Burlington, and Rhonda Brim (Cecil) of Mayodan; grandchildren, Amy Alderman Griffin (Kevin), Todd Brim (Dian) and Marin Alderman; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Brim, Noah Griffin and Tanner Brim.The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Sunday, at Colonial Funeral Home, and all other times at their home in Madison.Memorials may be made to Ellisboro Baptist Church, WMU and/or Cemetery Fund, 1604 Ellisboro Road, Madison, NC 27025.The family would like to thank the current and former staff and residents of Countryside Manor for their care and friendship to our mother.Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.Condolences may be offered at www.colonialfh.net.
