ORRINGTON - Ella R. Beatham, 59, of Hoxie Hill, died Jan. 30 at her home following a long illness. She was born in Carmel, April 17, 1914, the daughter of Wilbur and Bertha (Loreing) Preble. An Orrington resident since 1936, Mrs. Beatham is survived by her husband, Everett L. of Orrington, four sons, Richard E. and Thomas E. both of Orrington, Robert E. of Costa Rica, and Athur W. of Ogalala, Neb., two daughters Mrs. Nancy E. Wall of Lewiston, and Miss Margaret Beatham of Orrington, three brothers Melvin Preble of Corinth, Lewis and Errol Preble of Carmel, two sisters Miss Charlotte Preble and Miss Alice Preble both of Brewer, nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Lawrence V. Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer with the Rev. Arthur C. Woodward pastor of the Second Congregational Church of Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Orrington. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 31 Central St., Bangor 04401.
