CECILE BEAUFORT LEVASSEUR, 79, of 77 Notre Dame Ave., a homemaker, died yesterday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Edward Levasseur and the late Walter Beaufort.

Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Louise (Hogue) Riquier, she lived in Woonsocket most of her life, moving to Cumberland six years ago.

She was a former member of the Mount Vernon Forever Young Club.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Normand W. Beaufort of Woonsocket; a daughter, Pauline Auclair of Cumberland; a stepson, Raymond Levasseur of Merrimack, N.H.; a brother, Ernest "Joe" Riquier of Woonsocket; a sister, Rose A. LaPlante of Fullerton, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from Menard's Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Precious Blood Church, 93 Carrington Ave. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
