Services for Mr. Calvert Sylvan Beauregard, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Father Scott Chemino officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis deSales Catholic Church Cemetery, Echo.

The family requests that visitation be observed Friday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

A Christian wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Mr. Beauregard, 72, of Alexandria passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012.

He was born April 30, 1940 and raised in the Echo Community. He was a 1958 graduate of Poland High School. He attended ULL in Lafayette and served 2 years in the United States Army abroad. He retired as a store manager after 20 years of service with JC Penny in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. He returned home in 1978 and farmed for the next 30 years in the Poland and Echo communities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvert Sylvan Beauregard, Sr. and Marie Gatlin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his three sons, Robert Beauregard and wife, Cindy, Richard Beauregard, Russell Beauregard and wife Christina; ten grandchildren, Lacye, Ricky, Kevin, Lindsay, Madeline, Skylar, Anna, Landrie, Mallory and Ella; three sisters, Diane Beauregard of Lafayette, Carolyn Duhon and husband, Gary of Morgan City and Elaine Hurme and husband, Jeff of New Roads; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hurme, Beau Bradford, Gary Duhon, Mike Davis, Mark Lemoine and David Bates, III. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hayes, A. P. Guillory, Hill Baker, Al Petty, Bill Robeau, Fred Collins and Charles Hurme.
