Minna C. Bailey, 81, of 411 First St., Weatherly, passed away at Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hazleton on Sunday morning.
Born in Weatherly on October 26, 1919; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (Seibel) Behan.
She was a former member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weatherly.
As a young woman she worked as a long distance operator in New York City. She also worked as a ticket seller at the former Ritz Theater, Weatherly, and at Star (Linotype) Parts, Weatherly.
She was a member of the Weatherwood Grey Ladies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert G. Bailey, who died in December; sisters, Doris Miller and Gertrude Smith.
She is survived by son, John J. Bailey, Sterling, Va.; daughter, Mrs. John (Mary) Wargula, White Haven; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Salem United Church of Christ, Weatherly. The Rev. Barry G. Harbach will officiate.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
Friends may call at the Philip J. Jefferies Funeral Home, Weatherly today from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services.
