Mary Aileen Armbruster died Sunday, October 31, 2010, with her family at her side. She was born on January 21, 1923, in Long Lake to Otto and Frances (nee McGuine) Behnke. Mary Aileen grew up in Iron River, Michigan, and later graduated from Marquette University in 1943. Robert Armbruster and Mary Aileen Behnke were married on May 21, 1949.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Armbruster; daughter, Joan (Steve)Shipman of Weston, Conn.; son, John(Patricia)Armbruster of Cedarburg; daughter Wendy(Ben) Diaz of Folsom,CA; and son, Peter(Therese)Armbruster of Milwaukee. She was the loving grandmother of Stephen, Robbie and Michael Shipman; Anna Marie and Alina Armbruster; John, Peter and Benjamin Diaz; and Megan, Tyler, Leah and Cassidy Armbruster.
Mary Ellen worked at Armbruster Jewelers in Cedarburg until the time of her death. She was active with various organizations in the Cedarburg community. She enjoyed travel, playing bridge and genealogy. Mary Aileen will be missed greatly.

Visitation will be held today, Nov.4,2010,at the Mueller Funeral Home, W63 N527 Washington Ave. Cedarburg from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, November 5, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church. Interment in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery.
