David E. Behnke, 62, died Thursday at Stonehedge Nursing Home in Rome. He was a truck driver for Velocity Express and formerly worked for Miller Brewery. He was predeceased by his wife, Paolena Copani Behnke, in 2000. He is survived by his brother, Robert G. (Antoinette) Behnke Jr. of Clay; stepsons, Neil Grasso of Clay, Salvatore Grasso of California and Alfred (Barb) Christaldi of Clay; stepdaughter, Pauline Grasso; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are noon Wednesday at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home, 1217 N. Salina St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Frasier-Shepardson 471-2349
