Helen Ann Behrman Wall, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away in her home Monday, Dec. 6, 2010. She was born June 26, 1928, in New Orleans to Ward Andrew and Helen "Nell" Fayard Behrman. After attending public schools in New Orleans, Springfield and Shreveport, she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana College and followed with two years at Tulane University's graduate school. On April 21, 1952, she married Warren Bray Wall, of Springfield. They settled in Pasadena, where Helen taught for 13 years in the Pasadena School District and 22 years at San Jacinto College. During those years, she obtained a master's degree in history at LSU and became a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honor society of professional women educators. After retirement, Helen and Warren enjoyed genealogy and Louisiana history and spent much of their time as active members of the Edward Livingston Historical Association. Throughout her life, she was dedicated to family and friendships and maintained an enthusiasm for reading and new ideas. She will be remembered for her knowledge of history and a vast memory that always impressed family and colleagues. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Warren B. Wall. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Wall Krenz and husband Richard "Rick" Krenz, of Dickinson, Texas; a son, Warren Edward Wall and wife Jennifer Henderson Wall, of Bryan, Texas; a brother, Douglas Behrman, of Springfield; and a granddaughter, Grace Abbott Wall. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. until chapel funeral service at 11 a.m. She will be buried beside her husband in the Springfield Cemetery, Springfield.
