MRS. AMANDA BELKNAP PASSES AWAY TODAY.
Mrs. Amanda E. Belknap, 84 years of age, died at 11 a.m., today at Clark Memorial home in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Belknap, widow of the late James W. Belknap, has been a resident of city a great many years. She has been known and loved here all her life. She has always been a devoted member of the Methodist church and active in the Pioneer society of Montcalm county. To Mr. and Mrs. Belknap were born two children, one of whom was Dr. William H. Belknap, who founded the first hospital in the city of Greenville. This hospital was located in the building now occupied by the Fidelity store. Funeral services are to be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Merritt and Faber's chapel, this city, with burial in Forest Home cemetery. Relatives request omission of flowers. Rev. Yinger will officiate. H. P. Belknap of this city is brother-in-law of Mrs. Belknap.
