Abraham Lincoln Bell, 70, died Saturday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Guy Thayer. He recently suffered a shock.
Mr. Bell was born in Walpole, NH on November 16, 1863, the son of Frank Eugene Bell and Mary Elizabeth Fairbanks.
He married Laura Waterhouse of West Townshend, VT on July 8, 1888 in Keene, NH. Mrs. Bell died in January of 1916.
Abraham and his wife had two children, Frank and Alvera Bell.
Mr. Bell leaves his son, Frank S. Bell of Burlington, VT and several brothers and sisters, Will Bell of Hartford, Conn; David Bell of Rehoboth, Mass; George and John Bell of Springfield, VT; Frank E. Bell, Jr., of Marlow, NH; Mrs. Robert Parker and Mrs. Guy Thayer of Springfield, VT.
He also leaves four stepchildren.
Mr. Bell was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Alvera Bell.
The funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Thayer, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. George Pomfrey officiated.
Burial was in Summer Hill Cemetery in Springfield, VT beside his wife.
