Frank Herman Benka (1894-1964), 69, 2406 Alice St., died in the Veterans Hospital, Lake City, at 11 p.m. Sunday after a long illness. He was a resident of Palatka for 23 years, coming from Long Island, N.Y., and was a retired master plumber. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Episcopal Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John W. Walker, Palatka, Mrs. Harry M. Kelley, Detroit, Mich.; four sons, Frank R. L. Benka, and Allen J. of Palatka, Eugene J., Elizabeth, N.J., and Thomas N. of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Raymond Myers, Mantua, N.J.; and 16 grandchildren.
Instead of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery.
