She received a teacher's certificate from Ball State Teachers College. Helen was the store manager at Epworth Forest Methodist Conference Center Store and Concession Stand for many years during the summer in North Webster, IN. She was previously a member of the High Street United Methodist Church in Muncie, IN. She attended the Good Shepherd United Brethren Church in Bradenton, FL. While living in Muncie she was a member of the Halcyon Club, Home Economics Club and was President of the Delaware County Organization. While living in North Webster, IN, she was a member of the Methodist church choir and a member of the Home Economics Club of North Webster. In Bradenton, FL, she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one sister; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Friday, February 12, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN. Pastor Charlotte Overmyer will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Chapel of Memories Mausoleum in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital or the Shriner's Hospital.
