Genia (Skip) Wallace Bennett, Jr. was born in Madison, Florida on June 9, 1960 to Genia Wallace Bennett, Sr. and Mae Pearl Bennett. He lived in Fort Pierce, Florida for more than 40 years.

Genia received his formal education in the of Saint Lucie County school system, and he graduated from Fort Pierce Westwood High School in June, 1980.

He served in the United States Army for 13 years. His religious training was given at the House of God # 1 Church, Ft. Pierce.

Skip passed away on Thursday May 18, 2017 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
